He's here!

9 days ago we welcomed our little peanut into this world.  There are limited words to describe our joy and the experience that we are going through.  Kyle and I have talked multiple time about it and want to share it with all of you which will most likely be hard to express our true feelings.  We want to describe in detail the entire birth in factual information and then also details from both of our point of views.  It was an incredible experience, and it is true that a mother's (and father's) love runs deep after giving birth. Sorry if this gets sappy at times.  Remember I am only 9 days post-partum. :)  Lots has happened already in these 9 days and I do wish to be better at blogging so those of you who are not here to hang with the little man on a daily basis can also be kept up on his daily life.

So in conclusion now, here is a couple of pictures of the peanut within the first few hours of life:

That globe around his head is an oxygen tent that is giving him 100% oxygen to help blow out his pneumothorax (collapsed lung).  He was on this for just over 4 hours (until 10:45pm) and then under careful monitoring until morning where he had a repeat chest x-ray and the lung was in process of healing itself.  (No procedures necessary!!) Down to a 9% reduction from a 25% reduction.  You can also tell he has a large board taped to his left arm to help it stay straight.  This was IV fluids that he was on until about 8:00 the next morning.  All has been fine since. :)

  1. Welcome our sweet little Adrian. It is hard to believe that you have only been with us for nine days as I could not imagine one moment without or before you. It would take a lifetime to express the depth of our love for you. I pray that you always feel the warmth and security of the love of your family. Grow in love my sweet little one.
