15 + weeks

So sorry about the delay in posting.  Time has just not allowed me to sit down and publish for awhile.  Things are going well.  We had a doctor's appointment again last Monday, and Dr. Aimee shared that all seems healthy!  YEAH!  It was wonderful to hear the heartbeat again~ this has really been our only connection to realizing that there is a baby growing inside of me, especially since I really haven't been sick at all and I have moved on from sleeping all the time.

So here are some highlights:

How far Along: 15 Weeks and 6 days
Size of baby: Baby A is the size of a avocado
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 1 lb.
Maternity Clothes: My clothes with the button undone...the belly band is amazing though!
Gender: It is still a mystery!
Movement: A few flutters in the last couple days...is it movement though is still a mystery.
Sleep: I sleep well at night and don't need naps.
What I miss: sleeping on my stomach.
Cravings: Banana Peppers, ketchup, green olives
Symptoms: Not much, an occasional pain with muscles getting pulled
Best Moment of the week: Seeing belly growth, hearing the heartbeat again

Big News!

Yesterday was our doctor appointment, and it was quite successful!  We were able to find the heartbeat right away on the Doppler machine.  We are now officially at 11 weeks, and are making it semi-more public knowledge.  This week, I will be sharing the news with my principal at school and then the word will begin getting out.  I am still trying to stay away from Facebook though, because I do have some parents that are friends.  They will find out in due time, but we are saying November 1st as the big announce day.  (I will let you all know.)

Here is a picture of me at 11 weeks, sorry about how I look, Kyle made me take the picture right after my 2 hour nap today.  There is definitely a little bit of a belly, I am beginning to be a bit uncomfortable in my after P90X pants, so I have started to wear some of my older jeans.
Here are some pregnancy highlights for me!

How far Along: 11 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby A is the size of a lime
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 1 lb.
Maternity Clothes: Still wearing all of my clothes, even though I have pulled out some of my pre-P90x pants.
Gender: It is still a mystery!
Movement: I can't feel anything yet, but they say the baby is moving constantly and doing some water aerobics.
Sleep: I'm so tired- I sleep all the time and sleep pretty good, but I miss sleeping on my stomach (it just isn't comfortable!)
What I miss: At times, a glass of red wine otherwise, I miss sleeping on my stomach.
Cravings: Banana peppers
Symptoms: Tiredness, sore chest and tightening of the pants around the waist
Best Moment of the week: Hearing the heartbeat

Once I can get Kyle to help me, I will be putting up the sound of the heartbeat.  Look forward to that!
Update: Kyle helped me. Check out the link above

Fall break

I am officially on fall break. We only had kiddos Monday and Tuesday, had professional development on Wednesday, and now I have a wonderful 4 day weekend. Today I was quite ambitious and cleaned almost the whole house. It was definitely needed, but now I am completely wiped. It is nice thinking that I will now have 3 full days to rest :) I think overall though, I am getting over some of my tiredness (knock on wood). It would be nice to have some more energy, especially in seeing that my next couple weeks are looking quite busy wihh things at work. We will keep you updated though as things progress, hopefully we will be doing some more things though because I will have more energy. :)

9 weeks

So it has been a lazy weekend at our house. Friday night we led confirmation kiddos at the corn maze and ever simce it has been laying around the house, taking naps and trying to get some things completed around the house- like fall cleaning. I seem to do well in chunks of about 2-3 hours, and then by body just starts requesting a break. I am try to listen closely to what my body is telling me, especially on the weekends. This week is WEA week, so there is only two days with kiddos, 1 day of professional development and then a 4 day weekend. I will have to make sure I take advantage of that too, because the next couple of weeks are looking crazy! Other than being tired, nothing has changed much. I do know that if i don't eat every couple of hours though, I get a bit queezy. Nothing bad, but still I would rather not have it- so it is eating for me about every 2 hours. I told Kyle this weekend that I feel as though all I am good for right now is sleeping and eating. Hopefully it will change soon, but I could be way worse, so I guess I will stick with this for now.

Welcome!

We just wanted to extend an update to you to keep you updated on how things progress. We have kept it private, because we don't want the whole world to hear or see how things are going. Let us know if you have any questions or comments! Enjoy!

Week 8

So we have officially hit 8 weeks(last Saturday). Things seem to be going well, except that I am extemely tired! We had a trip down to Madison this weekend because my Gpa Dahlman got the special privilege to go on the Badger Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. (check it out online at: http://www.badgerhonorflight.org/). Anyway, I feel as though I slept the weekend away, but after so much sleep I was actually feeling good. Today was another work day and although I started off strong, I quickly faded and ended up taking an hour and a half nap after dinner. Now, it is up for a few hours before I call it a night officially. The bean(as we are calling it this week- it is the size of a kidney bean) seems to be doing well. According to our daily and weekly baby progress apps, the bean is growing fingers and toes this week and is working on developing neural pathways. The brain is taking up a good half of the total body mass. Growth is starting to happen, and be on the lookout for updates and pictures in the near future. Once again, our news is still pretty secret, hopefully to become public around Halloween.
